We are pleased to announce that Sinclair Gibson has been recognised as a leading firm in The Legal 500 rankings for 2022. The updated rankings recognise Sinclair Gibson as a specialist firm providing advice through its three complementary practice areas of Private Client, Litigation and Family Law. All three of these practice areas have been recommended in The Legal 500 rankings for 2022.

Our Private Client department has achieved a Tier 2 ranking for 2022 in the practice area of Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate. The whole department has been praised as an “agile team that advises on the full array of complex issues”. Of particular note in our Private Client department, Keith Bruce-Smith and Lucy Gibson have both been awarded Hall of Fame status as highly recommended solicitors. The Legal 500 has ranked our Litigation department as Tier 3 in the Contentious Trusts and Probate practice area for 2022. The entire team has been praised for their “profoundly knowledgeable, sympathetic and intelligent approach to solving complex problems to obtain the best outcomes for their clients”. The head of our Litigation department, Alison Meek, has been recognised as a Hall of Fame solicitor in her field. Alison is described as “clever, hardworking and passionate” as well as “a fearsome adversary with a strong sense of what is right and how a matter will work out”. Alongside Alison in our Litigation department, Henry Hickman is described as “a tenacious and subtle litigation strategist with the ability to adapt quickly to new situations in order to exploit them to full advantage for the benefit of his clients”.

Our Family department has also been awarded a Tier 3 ranking by The Legal 500. Our head of department, Kathryn Peat is recognised as a Leading Individual, who inspires “complete trust and confidence” with a “truly amazing team”. One commentator illustrates Kathryn’s “excellent judgment and great case management skills”. The Legal 500 also recommends Beth Mason as a key lawyer in Family disputes.
