Executors and administrators of a deceased’s estate undertake significant responsibilities in their role. We have decades of experience in undertaking the steps necessary properly to complete the administration of both domestic and international estates.
Specifically, our probate administration service includes:
- administration of estates (comprising both domestic and foreign assets) and ancillary advice relating to trusts in the UK and overseas;
- advice in connection with post-death deeds of variation;
- preparation of estate accounts;
- obtaining grants of probate or letters of administration;
- obtaining foreign equivalents of English grants, re-sealing English grants overseas and re-sealing of Commonwealth grants in the UK;
- preparation of tax returns and responding to HM Revenue & Customs’ enquiries during the administration of an estate; and
- working with colleagues in the litigation department in relation to any disputes arising in the context of estate administration.
